Administers and enforces laws and regulations necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Commonwealth.

Promotes economic growth and stability by providing temporary income support to Virginians and connects individuals to Virginia Works for workforce training and job placement services.

Comprised of different categories of members, with a majority of members representing businesses across the Commonwealth and includes representatives from labor, training providers, public sector leadership from local government, six Cabinet Secretaries and four members of the General Assembly.
